Model answer

(a) Any four: cuttings; budding; grafting; layering (marcotting); suckers; tubers/setts; rhizomes; bulbs; corms; tissue culture
(b)(i) Mixed farming: keeping crops and livestock on the same farm
(ii) Inter-cropping: growing two or more crops in separate rows on the same land at the same time
(iii) Ley farming: growing arable crops for some years and then grass/legume pasture for some years on the same land in rotation
(c) Mixed farming (any four): animal manure for crops; crop residues feed animals; spreads risk; steady income through the year; better use of labour; animals provide draught power
Inter-cropping (any four): insurance against crop failure; better use of land, light and nutrients; legumes add nitrogen; reduces erosion and weeds; less pest spread; higher total yield per area

Explanation

Define each term clearly before listing advantages.
