(i) Positive values: good, desirable values that society approves and that promote peace and progress, e.g. honesty, integrity, hard work, tolerance.
(ii) Negative values: bad, undesirable attitudes that harm society, e.g. dishonesty, corruption, laziness, greed.
(iii) Absolute values: values held as universally and permanently right, which do not change with time or place, e.g. respect for human life, truthfulness.
