Question 37

Circle Theorems

In the figure above, PQRS is a circle. If PQT and SRT are straight lines, find the value of x.

Diagram for this question
  1. A.59°
  2. B.77°
  3. C.103°
  4. D.121°
Show the answer and explanation

Answer: C (103°)

Explanation

In triangle PST, angle S = 180° − 81° − 22° = 77°. PQRS is cyclic, so x (angle PQR) = 180° − 77° = 103°.
