Any five, discussed: adequate funding by members (community levy); full implementation of protocols on free movement, trade (ETLS) and common external tariff; political will and commitment of member states; strengthening the ECOWAS Court and enforcement of decisions; promoting democracy and good governance and acting firmly but diplomatically against coups; a standby force to tackle terrorism and insecurity; improving regional infrastructure (roads, rail, power); harmonising monetary policies towards a common currency (Eco); reducing dependence on foreign donors; dialogue to bring back Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger, which left in 2024–25 to form the AES.
