Show the model answer
(a) Any five: they take goods to customers' doorsteps/in traffic (convenience); sell in very small quantities; low capital needed; prices can be bargained and are often lower; supermarkets are few and far from many people; hawkers serve rural areas and busy places; personal relationship with customers; unemployment pushes people into hawking; quick decisions and flexibility.
(b) Any five: very large store, usually out of town with big car park; sells a very wide range of goods (food, clothing, electronics, furniture); self-service; buys in bulk and sells at low prices; check-out points with cash/card payment; large capital; many departments under one roof; open long hours.
Hawkers survive by convenience and small quantities.
