  2. B.₦2,000 loss
  3. C.₦6,000 gain
  4. D.₦8,000 gain.
Show the answer and explanation

Answer: B (₦2,000 loss)

Explanation

Depreciation = (18 000 − 2 000) ÷ 8 = 2 000 a year; 4 years = 8 000. Book value = 10 000. Sold for 8 000, so loss = ₦2 000.
